What It Does

Ultra-fine (0000) steel wool is highly effective for restoring exterior glass and chrome. It safely removes water spots, insects, carbon buildup on exhaust tips, and other stubborn debris when used properly with Maestro’s Magic.

Steel wool should be used only on exterior glass and exterior chrome surfaces.

How to Use — Exterior Glass

1. Cut the steel wool in half to extend usability.
2. Ensure the glass is cool to the touch and avoid all painted edges and surfaces.
3. Fold the wool into a 2″ x 2″ pad. One pad is typically enough for an entire vehicle’s exterior glass.
4. Lightly mist the glass with Maestro’s Magic.
5. Keeping the pad flat, use light pressure and move left-to-right and top-to-bottom.
6. For stubborn spots, slightly increase pressure — but avoid aggressive force to prevent scratching.
7. When the surface feels smooth, wipe clean using the less plush side of a folded microfiber towel.
8. Flip to the plush side and buff to a shine.
9. Switch towels if streaking occurs.
10. Dispose of the steel wool properly after use.

How to Use — Chrome

1. Cut the steel wool in half for extended use.
2. Ensure the chrome surface is cool to the touch and avoid painted areas.
3. Fold into a 2″ x 2″ pad. For tight areas (such as grilles), apply Maestro’s Magic directly onto the wool.
4. Using light pressure, work the wool over the chrome surface.
5. Stubborn dirt, carbon, and insects may require additional time and attention.
6. On exhaust tips, apply caution — excessive pressure can cause scratching.
7. Wipe the surface clean with a microfiber towel.
8. Dispose of the steel wool properly after use.
